Terms of Service

Effective date: August 17, 2026

Note: These terms cover requesting an estimate through ustyle.ca and the work Ustyle Construction performs for you. They don't replace or override anything specific we agree to in writing for your particular job — if the two ever conflict, what we've agreed to for your job takes priority.

Agreement to these terms

By requesting a quote through this website or hiring Ustyle Construction for a job, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with something here, let us know before work starts — we'd rather sort it out upfront than after.

The services we provide

Ustyle Construction provides handyman repairs, painting, small renovations, and related small construction work, as described on this website. Work involving licensed trades — electrical, plumbing, or gas — is only performed within what we're legally permitted to do, and we'll tell you directly if a job needs a licensed specialist we'll bring in or refer you to.

Estimates & quotes

Every job starts with a free written estimate. An estimate reflects the scope of work as we understand it at the time — if the actual job turns out to involve more than what was visible or discussed (for example, damage found once work begins), we'll talk to you before doing anything beyond what was quoted, and adjust the price only with your agreement. A verbal estimate isn't binding; only a written one is.

Scheduling & changes

We'll agree on a start date and rough timeline before work begins. Delays can happen — weather, material availability, or something unexpected found on site — and if that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we know rather than leave you guessing. If you need to reschedule or cancel a job, let us know as early as you can.

Payment

Payment terms — including any deposit required, accepted payment methods, and when payment is due — will be confirmed with you directly as part of your written estimate before work begins.

Your responsibilities

To do the job properly and safely, we ask that you:

Give us reasonable access to the work area
Let us know about anything relevant we should be aware of — pets, fragile items nearby, access restrictions, or known hazards
Be honest with us about the scope of what needs doing, to the best of your knowledge

Photos of completed work

As explained in our Privacy Policy, we may use before-and-after photos of completed jobs in our marketing, including our website and social media. If you'd rather your job's photos not be used this way, just tell us and we won't use them.

Limitation of liability

We take care to do every job properly, but as with any construction or repair work, we can't guarantee against every possible outcome. Our liability for any job is limited to the value of the work performed, except where limiting liability isn't permitted by law.

Website use

This website and its content — including the text, design, and the Ustyle Construction name and logo — belong to Ustyle Construction. You're welcome to browse and use the site to learn about our services and request a quote; please don't copy or reuse our content elsewhere without asking first.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as our services or policies change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
